Neurodivergent Excellence

Certification

A certification schools have to earn

Certification under The Neurodivergent Excellence Framework™ is dated by academic year, tied to a unique certificate ID and publicly verifiable. It is deliberately difficult to obtain — schools that do not meet the standard receive a development report, not a badge.

Certification tiers

Neurodivergent Excellence Certified

Full compliance with The Neurodivergent Excellence Framework™ across all six domains, verified through evidence and interview.

Neurodivergent Excellence Certified with Distinction

Awarded to schools demonstrating exceptional, embedded inclusive practice — the highest tier of recognition.

Development Required

Issued when a school does not yet meet the standard. No certificate or badge is issued — instead, a written development report sets out exactly what to address, and reassessment can be requested as soon as you're ready, with no fixed waiting period and no fee for up to two reassessments within 12 months.

See what you receive

Every school receives a written report, whether it passes or not. Here is an example for a made-up school, with a rating for each of the six areas, strengths, areas for improvement and linked guides.

Illustrative example only: the school is made up and this is not a real audit. The report is in English.

Your certificate and digital badges

A printable A4 certificate

Every certified school receives an A4 certificate for its academic year, ready to print and frame. It names your school and carries a unique certificate ID and a QR code that anyone can scan to confirm it is genuine.

Digital badges for your marketing

You also receive digital badges for your website, emails and prospectus, as SVG and PNG files. Badges are visibly dated: a lapsed badge is designed to look lapsed, not to be quietly kept in use.

Every certificate is publicly verifiable

Anyone — a parent, a regulator, a governing board — can confirm a school's current certification status using its certificate ID.

Certification and consultancy are kept separate

Where consultancy or remediation support is purchased alongside certification, it is fully disclosed and does not influence the certification outcome. A school can pay for consultancy support and still not pass its assessment.

This assessment is an independent consultancy review conducted against The Neurodivergent Excellence Framework™. It is not a statutory or governmental inspection and does not replace any accreditation required under local law.
